Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of hair do you use, and where does it come from?
It is extremely important to ask this question when you are shopping for hair extensions because, unlike the workmanship of attachment which is hidden, the hair is really what you are presenting to the world, so it has to be of excellent quality! All the hair sold at Mohair is Remi Hair acquired from suppliers around the world. Remi hair is a breakthrough process in harvesting and in the manufacturing of human hair used in the wig and hairpiece world. Remi hair uses only the finest and most beautiful human hair, which is cut from the head and specially tagged "Root End First". Throughout the entire manufacturing process, the hair is kept root end first, eliminating common problems such as matting, dullness, and weaker hair shafts. The human hair used in manufacturing other than Remi hair is not handled root end first, causing the cuticle of the hair shaft to become tangled. To compensate for this, the hair receives and acid bath, which almost completely strips the hair shaft of cuticle, leaving it much weaker, and easily broken. At Mohair, we carry four grades of hair under the description of Remi Hair. These are as follows:Remi Virgin Indian
Available in 10" - 32", this is the least fine hair that we carry. It is available in wavy to curly, and stays incredibly soft wash after wash.Remi 909 Scale-free
Available in 10" - 28", this is grade is Virgin Indian hair that has been processed to feel more like European Virgin hair. Scales found in the outer surface of hair cuticles can cause tangle and matting. Using a unique "X-10 Plus Hair Process Technique", scales have been removed to prevent tangling, rendering the hair softer. The standard grade has a slight wave to it when wet, but it is also available in a bodywave, and deep curl.page: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
